Nicola Sturgeon is getting interviewed by the Brookings Institute. They are looking for questions to ask her; here’s where to send them: events@brookings.edu or on Twitter by using #EnergySecurity. To register and watch the event, please click here.
The topic is “Scotland’s role in tackling the global climate crisis”, the justice and benefits of transitioning to a greener economy, and what’s needed—especially in the wake of Russia’s destabilization of fossil fuel energy supplies—to boost Scottish and European energy security and self-reliance.”
Here are some suggested questions:
Who is paying for this? Is she using Climate Change as an excuse to talk about independence? Will she tell her audience that in last week’s local elections, only 15% of Scottish voters voted for her party, the SNP? Will she talk about her disastrous environmental policies and the incompetence of her government on education, housing, healthcare and the economy? Does she realise she encroaching on areas that are reserved to the UK Government such as defence, foreign affairs and the constitution?
Scotland Matters urges people who share our concerns to send their polite, evidence-based questions to the Brookings Institute.
