A 10-year-old schoolboy ‘presented a knife’ at another pupil inside a Dumbarton primary school last week.

Police were called to the incident on Thursday, April 25, and issued advice to children about “the dangers” of carrying a knife.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “On Thursday, 25 April, we received a report of a 10-year-old boy having presented a small knife at another pupil while within school in the Dumbarton area.

“Our local Youth Engagement Officer has met with the those involved, given advice and spoken to them about the dangers of such behaviour.”

The school where the incident took place has not been disclosed.
