A POSTCODE lottery in satisfaction rates with schools, the NHS and public transport has emerged across the country’s 32 council areas, The Scottish Sun on Sunday can reveal.

The dramatic differences in levels of contentment with public services emerged from a regional breakdown of the Scottish Government’s own annual research.

And it sparked claims parts of Scotland are paying a high price for the mismanagement of the SNP administration led by First Minister Humza Yousaf.

The figures were pulled from analysis of the Scottish Household Survey, which found a nationwide dip in satisfaction levels overall.

The 2022 study showed that Edinburgh residents were the most content, with 61 per cent of them happy with the three key services.

But, at the other end of the scale, only 26 per cent in Renfrewshire said they were satisfied with local health provision, schools and public transport.
